Introducing Life Visions Video

For the past couple of years, Marcie has been building up a digital video production/editing side business called Life Visions Video. Her specialty is creating beautiful (and often tear-jerking) family documentaries commemorating big events like engagements, anniversaries, retirements, graduations, and baby arrivals. Most recently, she just completed a video about her uncle Rabbi Shelly Lewis’ retirement after 33 years at Kol Emeth. Tomorrow, the congregation is hosting a huge special event honoring her uncle, with attendance anticipated to be as much as 1,000 people, and the centerpiece of the event will be Marcie’s 25-minute video.

In anticipation of any inquiries Marcie may receive from audience members after seeing how professional her work is, we put together an official website for her company. Marcie sketched out what she wanted the site to look like and I did all the HTML programming, image processing, and hosting/domain setup. The site has just gone live yesterday and we’re quite pleased with the results. We’ll be adding customer testimonials and video samples in the near future. But for now, it’s a pretty good start. Check it out.

  • WOW!!! The website looks GREAT!

We wish you and Marcie the VERY best as you embark on this new adventure!!

Can't wait to see the video from Uncle Shelly's retirement! How can we get a copy??

  • Aunt Linda and Uncle Bruce,

Thanks for the kind words! Getting that website to look almost as good in Windows as it does on a Mac turned out to be a huge programming challenge. I hope it displayed OK on your computer (pretty much no two computers display web pages alike!).

You're automatically getting a video! Marcie printed one up for you and will be sending it out soon. We can't wait to hear what you think!

  • I agree with my mom... the website looks great, and it's so nice that Marcie (and you!) will be doing something that she/you enjoy so much. I hope the business continues to boom! I miss you guys, and I also really enjoyed looking at all of the pictures of Melody. She looks like one happy baby!
    XOXO

  • Thanks Sue! By the way, do you happen to know if your mother got the copy of Sherwin's movie that Marcie printed up for her (and delivered via Jody)? Also, if so, did you happen to see it?

  • Hi Steve,
Sorry I haven't checked back sooner! My mom did get the copy of both of the videos (for Shel and Sher) and all of us were ready to watch it together on Mother's Day, however after gathering around Brad's TV in anticipation, we realized that Brad did not have the correctly formatted DVD player to show it. So, my mom and Bruce watched it previously on their computer, but the rest of us will have to view it on our computers at home when we can steal them back from my mom! I can't wait to see them and I'll report back when I do. :o)
    Love to you all,
    Sue
