Melody: The First Two Weeks

Many apologies for the long gap since my last entry. As all of you can imagine, caring for a newborn is an all-encompassing activity — wonderful as it is. The past two weeks have been quite a whirlwind and I hope to post some of my reflections on parenthood in an upcoming entry. But for now, I’m glad to announce that I’ve finally had a chance to create a new photo album featuring Melody’s first two weeks in the world. Check it out.

Melody Shapiro has Arrived!

Melody Allison Shapiro has arrived and is ready to sing her first song! Weighing in at 6 pounds, 7 ounces and measuring 18 3/4 inches, Melody entered the world on September 12 at 9:54 a.m. at El Camino Hospital under the expert care of Dr. David Francisco (assisted by Grandpa Dr. Sherwin Lewis). Mommy Marcie is recovering very well and Daddy Steve is doing likewise!

Not Yet, But Very Soon!

Nope, Baby Shapiro hasn't arrived yet. But she's likely to arrive any day now. So stay tuned for an official announcement and photos in the very near future.

In the interim, I've added a handful of new photos to the "Countdown to Baby Shapiro" photo album, including pictures from our recent fifth wedding anniversary. Wow, I can't believe it's already been half a decade since our happy nuptials. Time certainly goes fast when you're having fun!
